After Week 9 of last season, the two-loss New York Giants were the surprise group of the NFL, well on their method to an unanticipated playoff look. At the exactsame point this year, they’ve currently matched the 7 losses they completed last year with.

Fair or not, their own over-performance set the bar for this year’s expectations, and the Giants haveactually fallen woefully short. Their 7.5 preseason win amountto at BetMGM, while not amazing, was muchbetter than 8 other groups and kept their chances out of the favorites to surface 2023 with the least wins. The groups with the leading 3 chances were the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans, and the most-bet groups were the Cardinals, Bucs and Las Vegas Raiders.

After Sunday, it’s clear the Giants are in the running to messup those bets.

New York hit a brand-new rock bottom Sunday, losing by 24 points to the Raiders, who were playing a backup quarterback in their veryfirst videogame under interim head coach Antonio Pierce. And with the Giants supposedly fearing QB Daniel Jones suffered a season-ending knee injury in the loss, there doesn’t appear to be a genuine course for things to enhance.

The Giants (2-7) are one of 5 groups with less than 3 wins going into Week 10, consistingof the Cardinals (1-8), Chicago Bears (2-7), New England Patriots (2-7) and Carolina Panthers (1-7). But factors exist to think those groups can all luck their methods into another win or 2 that just puton’t for the Giants. Not just do the Giants have the NFL’s seventh-toughest staying schedule, they’ll mostlikely have the worst quarterback of these groups with Jones and Tyrod Taylor both sidelined. Even with Jones and Taylor, the Giants had the NFL’s worst point differential at minus-116.

But the Cardinals and Bears are mostlikely to get Kyler Murray and Justin Fields back quickly, respectively. And the Patriots and Panthers are likewise beginning first-round quarterbacks. The Giants? They have somebody called Tommy DeVito taking snaps and justrecently signed Matt Barkley off the street for insurancecoverage. Oh, and they play the Cowboys in Week 10 — the exactsame group that beat them 40-0 to open the season. There isn’t much light at the end of this tunnel.

This isn’t precisely brand-new with the Miami Dolphins. We captured on to their propensity to just punch down weeks ago and was totally mindful of it going into Sunday earlymorning’s videogame versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

So, why am I bringing it up here onceagain after they naturally lost to another group with a losing record — their seventh straight dating back to last season? Because we’ve formerly determined them up versus Super Bowl expectations — thanks to leading 5 chances — and the bar requires to be decreased. Forget about winning the Super Bowl, are the Dolphins going to win a playoff videogame?

It’s a concern that requires to be asked since they are going to make the playoffs thanks to a really easy upcoming schedule. Three of their next 5 videogames are versus groups wi
