Omaha high school kicker gets deal to walk on for Cornhuskers

An Omaha high school kicker got an deal from Nebraska to walk on in2023 Millard South kicker/punter Simon McClannan got the deal from the Cornhusker’s training personnel on Friday afternoon according to his social media. McClannan had formerly checkedout Lincoln on June 4th when he kicked for unique groups coach Bill Busch.

Busch is in his 2nd year at Nebraska and is his veryfirst season as the unique group’s planner. This is his 3rd stint training at Nebraska, as he was a defensive assistant from 1990 to 1993 and was a secondary and unique groups planner and secondary coach from 2004-2007. He had formerly coached at LSU from 2018-2020, consistingof the 2019 15-0 nationwide champion group.
