Rashard Anderson, the most current Jackson State football gamer to be picked in the veryfirst round of the NFL draft, has passedaway, according to a school representative. He was 45.

Anderson and receiver Sylvester Morris, were the veryfirst JSU duo to be picked in the first round consideringthat Walter Payton and Robert Brazile in1975 Morris went 21st general to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2000. Anderson was picked 23rd total by the Carolina Panthers.   

“Today is a unfortunate day for the JSU household,” Jackson State athletic director Ashley Robinson stated in a declaration. “Rashard was one of the finest gamers in the history of our football program and an exceptional individual. He wentto our spring football videogame in April and was delighted about the program returning to champion status. Rashard will constantly be keptinmind by Jackson State University, and our ideas and prayers are with his household at this time.”
