Scoot Henderson, the forecasted No. 2 choice in the 2023 NBA draft, will not play in the rest of the season with the G League Ignite, according to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.
The choice to shut Henderson down was supposedly made by the league as authorities think the 19-year-old has showcased enough of his videogame to be a high choice. The Ignite, who are out of the playoff photo, have just 5 videogames left in the routine season.
Rumors swirled earlier in the season when Henderson missedouton 11 videogames (nasal fracture, concussion) that he might choose to shut his season down early. However, Henderson and the group pressed back versus those reports and the vibrant guard ultimately returned on Dec. 27.
