PHILADELPHIA — The scar at the base of Dak Prescott’s right thumb is the pointer of why he has had to watch the last 5 Dallas Cowboys videogames from the sideline.

The beginning quarterback would love for Sunday’s 26-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles to be the last videogame he missesouton due to a broken right thumb – his tossing hand – he suffered throughout the season opener. 

Prescott atfirst targeted the Week 5 game versus the Los Angeles Rams as his return date. That timeline might haveactually been early, he recognized. He has his strategies. The medicalprofessionals have theirs. And so does that bone he broke. 

“I puton’t always get that annoyed over that (timeline being pressed back). As for his preliminary diagnosis of possibly being able to return earlier, “that was simply me being excited,” he stated.
