Serena Williams’ profession likely came to a close Friday night with her three-set loss to Ajla Tomljanovic in the 3rd round of the U.S. Open. 

Despite the problem, the 40-year-old’s radiance was on screen assoonas onceagain – she won a second-set tiebreaker and combated off many match points, advising everybody that she’s maybe the biggest tennis gamer of all time.

The feeling revealed for Williams after the match, specifically when she started thanking her household. She was specifically appreciative for sis Venus Williams, informing the crowd at New York’s Arthur Ashe Stadium that “she’s the just factor that Serena Williams ever existed.” 

The love Williams revealed in her post-match speech was returned by some of the most well-known individuals in the world. 

After the 23-time Grand Slam champ’s loss, professionalathletes, stars and politicalleaders flooded Twitter celebrating one of the biggest tennis professions we’ve ever seen and thanking Williams for whatever she’s done for the sport and the world at big.
