The UFC’s long run of consecutive events spills into March with UFC Fight Night 238, which takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Heavyweights get the main event spotlight on the card. Jairzinho Rozenstruik (13-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) will get his fourth octagon headliner when he takes on the unbeaten Shamil Gaziev (12-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who gets the opportunity in his sophomore promotional appearance.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik
Rozenstruik has earned 12 of his 13 career victories by stoppage.
Rozenstruik is the only fighter in UFC history to earn three knockout victories of 30 seconds or less.
Rozenstruik’s nine-second knockout at UFC on ESPN+ 12 is the second-fastest in UFC heavyweight history behind Todd Duffee’s seven-second finish at UFC 102.
Rozenstruik’s knockout of Alistair Overeem at the 4: 56 mark of Round 5 at UFC on ESPN 7 marked the third latest stoppage in UFC history behind Demetrious Johnson’s win (4: 59 of Round 5) at UFC 186 and Yair Rodriguez’s victory (4: 59 of Round 5) at UFC Fight Night 139.

Gaziev has earned 11 of his 12 career victories by stoppage.
Vitor Petrino vs. Tyson Pedro
Vitor Petrino’s (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) three-fight UFC winning streak at light heavyweight is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the division behind Carlos Ulberg (five), Khalil Rountree (five) and Jamahal Hill (four).
Petrino has earned eight of his nine career victories by stoppage. He’s finished seven of those wins by knockout.
Tyson Pedro (10-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) had earned all 10 of his career victories by first-round stoppage.
Pedro is one of four light heavyweights in UFC history to earn a knockout stemming from a body kick. He accomplished the feat at UFC 278. Marcin Prachnio, Jan Blachowicz and Rich Franklin have also won with the technique.
Alex Perez vs. Muhammad Mokaev
Alex Perez’s (23-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) average fight time of 4: 45 in UFC flyweight competition is second-shortest in divisional history behind Daniel Lacerda (4: 19).
Perez lands 5.24 significant strikes per minute in UFC flyweight competition, tied for the third-highest rate in divisional history behind CJ Vergara (5.92) and John Lineker (5.43).
Perez has recorded one of 14 finishes in UFC history stemming from leg kicks. He accomplished the feat at UFC 250.
Muhammad Mokaev’s (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) five-fight UFC winning streak at flyweight is tied with Alexandre Pantoja for the longest active streak in the division.
Mokaev’s five-fight UFC winning streak at flyweight is tied for third-longest in divisional history behind Demetrious Johnson (13) and Joseph Benavidez (six).
Mokaev’s four submission victories in UFC flyweight competition are tied for second-most in divisional history behind Johnson (five).
Mokaev absorbs just 1.19 significant strikes per minute in UFC flyweight competition, the best rate in divisional history.
Matt Schnell vs. Steve Erceg
Matt Schnell (16-7 MMA, 6-5 UFC) returns to competition for the first time since Dec. 3, 2022. The 455-day layoff is the longest of his more than 11-year career.
Schnell earned the first triangle choke submission in UFC flyweight history at UFC on ESPN 5.
Schnell’s three submission victories by triangle choke in UFC competition are second-most in company history behind Paul Craig (four).
Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Ricky Turcios
Raul Rosas Jr. (8-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC), at 18, became the youngest fighter in history to earn an octagon victory when he won at UFC 282.
Rosas Jr. has earned seven of his eight career victories by stoppage. That includes both of his UFC wins.
Eryk Anders vs. Jamie Pickett
Eryk Anders (15-8 MMA, 7-8 UFC) fell to 4-8 with one no contest in his past 13 fights after starting his career 10-0.
Jamie Pickett’s (13-10 MMA, 2-6 UFC) four-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since January 2022.
Pickett defends 90.5 percent of all opponent significant strike attempts in UFC middleweight competition, the second-best rate in divisional history behind Chris Curtis (92.3 percent).
Javid Basharat vs. Aiemann Zahabi
Aiemann Zahabi (10-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) defends 72.3 percent of all opponent significant strike attempts in UFC bantamweight competition, the highest rate in divisional history.
