Woj: Detroit Pistons get approval to interview Nets’ assistant Brian Keefe

The Detroit Pistons have got approval from the Brooklyn Nets to interview assistant coach Brian Keefe for Detroit’s open head-coaching task, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This appears to be an escalation of Keefe’s candidateship for the task as it was reported last week that Keefe was anticipated to be a prospect for the position thanks to his relationship with Pistons’ GM Troy Weaver.

Weaver held different positions within the Thunder front workplace from 2008 to 2020 priorto he went to Detroit to be the GM. Keefe had 2 stints with the Thunder (2009-2014 and for the 2019-2020) as an assistant coach.
