PANAMA CITY — The Canadian mining business whose agreement with Panama’s federalgovernment has setoff weeks of demonstrations stated Monday that it hasactually lowered operations and quickly might have to suspend them due to a blockade of its myown’s power plant.

Minera Panama, the regional subsidiary of First Quantum Minerals, stated in a declaration that little boats had obstructed its port in Colon province, avoiding materials from reaching the copper mine.
