LONDON — Climate activist Greta Thunberg signedupwith a march in southern England on Saturday to demonstration the usage of personal jets and the growth of an airport.

Hundreds of regional homeowners and activists holding banners and placards that checkedout “Ban Private Jets” marched to Farnborough Airport, which mainly serves personal airplane. Some beat drums while others lit pink smoke flares.

The airport, situated in Hampshire County about 40 miles (64 kilometers) southwest of London, used last year to boost its optimum number of flights from 50,000 to 70,000 a year.

Groups working to battle environment modification, consistingof the organizer of Saturday’s demonstration, Extinction Rebellion, state personal jets are much more contaminating than business guest airliners. Flights to and from Farnborough Airport brought an average of 2½ guests per flight in 2022, the group stated
