Indiana judge dismisses state’s suit versus TikTok that declared kid security, personalprivacy issues

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana county judge on Wednesday dismissed a suit submitted by the state implicating TikTok of tricking its users about the level of improper material for kids on its platform and the security of its customers’ individual info.

A set of claims submitted in December 2022 implicated the app of deceptive its audiences — especially kids. They declared the app includes “salacious and improper content” regardlessof the business declaring it is safe for kids 13 years and under. In the 2nd problem, the state argued that the app tricks customers into thinking their delicate and individual info is safe. The claims have consideringthat been combined. The newest hearing on the movement to dismiss was held in October.

Judge Jennifer L. DeGroote of the Allen County Superior Court in Fort Wayne made the judgment.
