AUSTIN, Texas — A pregnant Texas female who was seeking court authorization for an abortion in an extraordinary obstacle to one of the most limiting prohibits in the U.S. might not wait any longer and went to another state, her lawyers stated Monday.

The statement came as Kate Cox, whose fetus has a deadly condition, was waiting for the Texas Supreme Court to guideline whether she might lawfully get an abortion. Her infant’s medicaldiagnosis has low survival rates and her lawyers stated continuing the pregnancy endangered both her health and capability to have more kids.

“Her health is on the line. She’s been in and out of the emergencysituation space and she couldn’t wait any longer,” said Nancy Northup, president and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights, which was representing Cox.

The company did not divulge where Cox went. On Monday, she would haveactually been 20 weeks and 6 days pregnant.

The court, which is made up of 9 Republican justices, hadactually provided no schedule for a judgment. On Friday night, the court had paused a lower a judge’s order that provided Cox authorization for an abortion.
