Human stays found 49 years ago near Flagstaff, Arizona, haveactually been recognized as those of a guy who served in Vietnam and was initially from Minnesota, authorities stated Wednesday.
The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office revealed in a news release that the stays were those of Gerald Francis Long. Long’s cause of death was not figuredout in 1975 and cannot be figuredout today, according to the release.

The skeletal stays, veryfirst found April 19, 1975, were discovered off Meteor City Road, about 40 miles east of Flagstaff, when farmers were chasing a runaway pig, authorities stated.
Multiple leads were established giventhat the stays were discovered, the constable’s workplace stated, however none of them led to a favorable recognition.
In August, the constable’s workplace worked with a Salt Lake City business to recognize the stays through a hereditary genealogy procedure, the release stated. Using the business’s innovation, a DNA profile was established for the stays, enabling professionals to trace a household line. That led them in February to the possibility that the stays were Long’s.
From there, constable’s detec
